While I'm waiting for the VFX to be done, I figured I would get going on the artwork, which is something I can do myself.
Insect is being scored by Kirk Starkey, who according to CBC 2 is “One of Canada’s most inventive Cellists today”. He’s also one hell of a nice guy. Do something good for yourself and check out his work here. Go on. You won’t regret it.
The short is called “Insect” after all. It’s not just metaphorical… there had to be an actual bug.

Well, it was one hell of a shoot. It involves diluvian rainfall, roof collapse, buckets of blood and a random cross-dressing baritone.
